Villa Myndos sits on the hillside of Gümüşlük, one of the most authentic corners of the Bodrum peninsula, looking down over the remains of the ancient city of Myndos. Built from local stone, with timber shutters and a bougainvillea-draped courtyard, it keeps the character of a traditional Aegean house while offering bright, modern living inside. The village, the beach and the much-loved fish restaurants along the water are all within walking distance — no car needed.

Inside the villa

The ground floor opens into a generous living room, a fully equipped kitchen and a dining area that flows straight onto the terrace. With 160 m² of living space, the villa has three bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom: two sea-view double rooms upstairs and a twin room on the ground floor that suits children or friends. Every room has air conditioning, and Wi-Fi and a Smart TV with streaming services are provided.

Pool and terrace

The 4 × 9 m private pool is surrounded by sun loungers, a shaded pergola and an outdoor shower. In the early evening, the long table under the pergola is the place to be — grilled fish from the barbecue, a few meze plates and the sun slipping behind Rabbit Island. The wide terrace works just as well for slow breakfasts as it does for late-night conversations.

A day in Gümüşlük

Start with warm bread from the village bakery on the terrace, swim in the shallow, clear bay in the afternoon or wade across to Rabbit Island, then book a table at one of the waterfront restaurants where your feet almost touch the sea. Art galleries, handmade jewellery workshops and the annual classical music festival add a touch of culture to the stay.

Who is it for?

Villa Myndos sleeps up to 6 guests and is one of the few villas in the area where your pet is welcome too.
