Fertile plains and famous beaches

Ortaca is an agricultural district in the south-east of Muğla, set between Dalaman and Köyceğiz on a broad, fertile plain of citrus orchards and fields. The town itself is a working market centre, but within its borders lie two of the region's best-loved holiday spots: the riverside village of Dalyan and the long sandy beach at Sarıgerme, where loggerhead turtles also come ashore to nest.

Why stay here

Ortaca is ideal if you want a natural, low-key holiday close to the airport. Dalaman Airport (DLM) is only a short drive away, and from here you can easily reach Dalyan's river boats, the rock tombs of Kaunos and İztuzu beach, as well as Köyceğiz lake and, further west, Göcek and Fethiye.

Villas in Ortaca

Villas in the district are mostly found in and around Dalyan and in the countryside, often with large gardens, private pools and views over the river, orchards or mountains. Secluded villas with pools hidden from view are common, which makes the area popular with families looking for privacy.

  • Garden villas in the countryside
  • Riverside and village villas in Dalyan
  • Quick transfers from Dalaman Airport

The season runs from May to October. Summers are hot, and the sea at the nearby beaches is around 26–27 °C in August.
