Why choose a villa with a garden?
A villa with a garden stretches your holiday beyond the pool deck and the terrace. A lawn gives children room to run and dogs room to roam, while trees and pergolas give adults somewhere to escape the midday sun. Long outdoor dinners among olive trees, bougainvillea and fruit trees are one of the real pleasures of a Mediterranean villa holiday, and a garden also puts a natural buffer between you and the neighbours.
Questions for the owner
- Is the garden lawn, paving or natural terrain?
- Is there shade from a pergola or large trees?
- Is there an outdoor dining table and a barbecue?
- Is the garden fenced or walled, and does the gate close?
- On which days are the garden and pool maintained?
- Is anything done about mosquitoes in the evenings?
Where to look
The villages around Fethiye, Kayaköy, Üzümlü and the green valleys near Göcek are known for villas with generous gardens. Belek's flat land suits large lawns. In Kalkan and Kaş, villas are built on hillsides, so gardens tend to be terraced and smaller: big views, less grass. If you want a fully enclosed outdoor space, see our page for villas with a walled garden too.
Season and contact
Gardens look their best in spring and autumn, and in July and August shade becomes the most valuable feature of all. Prices and availability are set by each owner. Villora does not take bookings: contact the owner directly by WhatsApp, phone or email, check the VillaNo and Tourism Permit number on the listing, and get the terms confirmed in writing.
