Wheelchair-Accessible Holiday Villas in Türkiye
Choosing a villa as a wheelchair user, or with limited mobility, takes more than a look at the gallery. Here you’ll find villas whose owners have marked wheelchair access; we strongly recommend confirming the details with them.
Accessibility varies – let’s be honest about it
Many villas on the Mediterranean and Aegean coast are built on hillsides, and terraces, steps and level changes are part of the local architecture. So even a villa with this tag may not suit every need equally. One villa might have step-free access to the entrance and a bedroom, but a few steps down to the pool. The level of access differs from villa to villa, and the owner is the best source of accurate information.
What to ask the owner
- Is there step-free access from the parking area or road to the entrance?
- Is there a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor?
- How wide are the doors (at least 80 cm is generally recommended for wheelchairs)?
- Does the bathroom have a level-access shower, grab bars or a shower seat?
- Can you reach the pool and terrace by ramp? Is there a pool hoist?
- Is there enough turning space beside the bed?
Ask for photos and measurements
Standard gallery photos rarely show thresholds, bathroom layouts or ramp gradients. Don’t hesitate to ask for detailed photos of the approach, doorways and bathroom, along with measurements and a short video. A video call walk-through is often the quickest way to be sure.
Choosing the area
Side, Belek and the Antalya area are generally flatter, while the steep streets of Kalkan and Kaş can make getting around outside the villa harder. Factor in access to beaches, restaurants and the town centre too.
Contact the owner directly
Villora is a listing platform, not a booking site. Use the VillaNo (for example KLKN-1129) to reach the owner by WhatsApp, phone or email for prices and availability, and check the Tourism Permit number on the listing before you rent.
