A lively base above Ölüdeniz
Hisarönü sits about 3 km above Ölüdeniz as the crow flies, or around 5 km by road, on a pine-fringed plateau between the coast and Babadağ mountain. Its main strip is full of restaurants, cafés, bars and shops, and it stays busy late into summer evenings. Frequent dolmuş minibuses run down to Ölüdeniz beach and into Fethiye, so getting around is easy even without a car.
