Villa Ay Işığı
A honeymoon villa for two: private heated pool, jacuzzi and Kalkan sunsets
The Turkish Riviera at a glance
Antalya province combines a long, sunny coastline with the high peaks of the Taurus Mountains rising straight behind it. In a single region you can find whitewashed fishing villages, Roman theatres, pine-covered national parks, wide sandy beaches and a lively city with a walled old town. It also has one of the longest holiday seasons in the Mediterranean: the sea is usually warm enough for swimming from late spring well into autumn, with temperatures of around 27–29 °C in August.
Where to stay in Antalya
The villas listed on Villora are spread across several quite different parts of the province:
- Kaş and Kalkan – the Lycian coast in the west, with clear water, sea-view hillside villas, boat trips to Kekova and easy access to Patara beach
- Demre – ancient Myra, the Church of St Nicholas and the harbour of Andriake, a quieter base for exploring Kekova
- Kemer – a resort coast squeezed between the Taurus Mountains and the sea, from Beldibi in the north to Tekirova and Phaselis in the south
- Belek and Kadriye in Serik – Türkiye's golf capital, with long sandy beaches and large family villas
- Konyaaltı and Lara – the city beaches of Antalya, close to the airport and the historic Kaleiçi quarter
- Döşemealtı – a peaceful inland plateau with spacious villas and gardens
Which villa suits you?
Couples and honeymooners often choose Kalkan or Kaş for infinity pools and sunset views over the sea. Families tend to favour Kemer, Belek or Lara, where sandy or easy-going beaches, water parks and short airport transfers make life simple. If privacy matters, look for secluded or conservative villas with pools screened from neighbours – these are found right across the province, particularly in hillside and village settings. For spring and late-autumn holidays, a heated pool is well worth filtering for.
Getting there
Antalya Airport (AYT) is the main gateway and is very close to the city, Lara, Belek and Kemer. For Kalkan and Kaş in the far west, Dalaman Airport (DLM) is usually the closer option, at roughly 1 hour 45 minutes to Kalkan and 2 hours 15 minutes to Kaş. A hire car is useful almost everywhere, and essential for village and hillside villas.
When to go
April to June brings warm days, green hills and quieter beaches. July and August are hot, typically 30–35 °C on the coast, and ideal for pool days and late dinners. September and October are many regulars' favourite months, with warm sea and softer heat. Winters are mild, and city areas such as Konyaaltı remain pleasant all year.
Booking with confidence
Since 1 January 2024, homes rented to tourists on a short-term basis in Türkiye must hold a permit from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Every Villora listing shows its tourism permit number (Turizm Belge No) alongside the VillaNo, so you can check it before contacting the owner.
