Between mountains and sea

Kemer is one of the most scenic stretches of the Turkish Riviera. The Taurus Mountains rise steeply behind the coast, their slopes covered in pine forest that forms part of Beydağları Olympos National Park. Tahtalı Mountain, at 2,365 m, looms over the southern villages and can be reached by cable car from near Tekirova. Down at sea level, pebbly beaches meet strikingly clear water, and the town itself has a marina, a lively centre and the popular Moonlight beach and park.

Areas to stay

Villas listed on Villora are spread along the Kemer coast:

  • Kemer Town Centre – marina, Moonlight beach, restaurants and nightlife within walking distance
  • Beldibi – the northernmost village and closest to Antalya, with a long pebble beach backed by mountains
  • Göynük – quieter, with a long beach and the Göynük canyon for hiking and canyoning
  • Kiriş – pine forest and beach between Kemer and Çamyuva
  • Çamyuva – citrus gardens and a long pebble beach, popular with families
  • Tekirova – near the ancient city of Phaselis and the Tahtalı cable car

Things to do

Phaselis, with its three small bays and Roman ruins among the pines, is one of the loveliest ancient sites on the coast. Further south, around 35 km from Kemer, Olympos and Çıralı offer long beaches and the Yanartaş "eternal flames" on the hillside. Boat trips leave from Kemer marina, and canyon walks, jeep safaris and mountain villages are all within easy reach.

Which villa suits you?

Kemer is a natural fit for families: transfers are short, beaches are easy, and many villas come with children's pools and enclosed gardens. Couples might prefer a villa in the hills with mountain and sea views, or a quiet spot near Tekirova or Çamyuva. If you want to walk to restaurants and the marina, stay in or near the centre. Secluded and conservative villas with screened pools are also available, often on the edges of the villages.

Getting there and when to go

Antalya Airport (AYT) is about 45–55 km from Kemer, roughly 50 minutes to an hour by road, making Kemer ideal for shorter breaks. The season runs from April or May to October; the sea is warmest in August, at around 27–29 °C. Spring brings green mountains and fewer people, while autumn keeps warm water with gentler heat. A car is useful for exploring, although dolmuş minibuses run along the main coast road.

Before you contact an owner

Each villa on Villora displays its VillaNo and tourism permit number (Turizm Belge No). Holiday lets in Türkiye have required this permit since 2024, so it is worth checking the number before you agree your stay with the owner.
