A two-bedroom highland home set in a large walled garden on the cool Bezirgan plateau above Kalkan. Its fully screened pool, fireplace and pet-friendly garden make it a peaceful escape in summer and winter alike.
A quiet hideaway on the plateau
Villa Bezirgan Yayla Evi sits in a 1,800 m² garden in Bezirgan, a centuries-old highland village rising just behind Kalkan. The stone-walled garden and the 3.5 × 7 m private pool are completely screened from view, which makes the house ideal for conservative families and anyone who values privacy. Summer evenings on the plateau are noticeably cooler than on the coast, so you can sleep with the windows open.
Inside the house
The single-storey house is furnished in a simple, warm village style. A double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a second room with two single beds comfortably sleep a family of up to four. The living room has a fireplace for the winter months, and the kitchen comes with a Turkish tea maker and cooking basics. Solar panels keep the hot water flowing.
Long days in the garden
The gazebo is the favourite spot for breakfast and long dinners. A barbecue and a fire pit stretch the conversation into starry nights, while a hammock strung between the trees waits for the afternoon nap. Pets are welcome – the walled garden is a safe space for dogs and cats.
