Why choose a mountain view?

From a mountain-view villa your terrace or pool looks out over pine-covered slopes, rocky summits or deep valleys. Some villas combine a sea view with mountains behind, others are set inland where the peaks fill the horizon. The light changes through the day, the setting is usually quieter than the beachfront, and evenings at altitude can be pleasantly fresh. The feature is declared by the owner, so check the photos to see exactly what you will be looking at.

Region by region

• Kemer: the Taurus Mountains rise close to the shore, and villages around Olympos and Mount Tahtalı have plenty of villas with dramatic mountain views.
• Ölüdeniz and Hisarönü: Babadağ dominates the skyline, often dotted with paragliders drifting down to the beach.
• Kaş: hinterland villages and highland plateaus look back across the mountains behind the coast.
• Fethiye and Kalkan: Üzümlü and Islamlar overlook green valleys and ridges.

Questions for the owner

• Is the view open, or could buildings or trees block it?
• Is the road up to the villa steep or winding?
• How far is the drive to the beach and the nearest town?
• Does it get cool in the evenings, and is there heating outside summer?
