Family Villas with a Children’s Pool in Türkiye

Pool safety is the first thing most parents think about when travelling with young children. Every villa on this page has a separate, shallow children’s pool alongside the main pool.

Why a separate kids’ pool helps

Main villa pools are usually 1.5 metres deep or more, which is neither safe nor comfortable for toddlers. A separate children’s pool is typically around 30–60 cm deep, so little ones can stand, splash and play while adults swim in the main pool. Because it is shallow, a kids’ pool also warms up faster in the sun, which is a nice bonus in spring and autumn.

Safety checklist

A children’s pool does not make the whole pool area safe on its own. Ask the owner about:

  • The depth of the kids’ pool and how it is separated from the main pool
  • Fencing or a safety barrier around the pool area
  • A pool alarm or safety cover
  • Non-slip surfaces around the pool edge
  • Whether the gate to the pool area can be locked

Nothing replaces active adult supervision, so always keep an eye on children near water.

Other family essentials

When choosing a family villa, also ask about a cot, high chair, stair gates and the distance to the beach and shops. Around Fethiye, particularly Hisarönü and Ovacık, family villas with flat gardens are common. In Kalkan and Kaş many villas are on hillsides, so check how many steps there are. Belek and Side offer flat plots and wide gardens that work well with small children.
