Villa Ay Işığı
A honeymoon villa for two: private heated pool, jacuzzi and Kalkan sunsets
In an infinity pool the edge disappears and the water seems to flow straight into the sea on the horizon. This page lists villas where the view becomes part of the pool.
A honeymoon villa for two: private heated pool, jacuzzi and Kalkan sunsets
In an infinity pool, one or more sides end without a visible wall: water spills over the edge into a hidden catch channel below. Looking across the pool, you cannot see where it ends, so the water appears to merge with the sea or the horizon. The effect works best when a villa stands on sloping ground facing a sea view.
Most villas in Kalkan and Kaş are built on hillsides overlooking the Mediterranean, which is ideal terrain for an infinity pool – set at the edge of a terrace, nothing lies in front of it but the sea. In Kalkan the Kızıltaş area and the slopes around Kalamar Bay are known for this style of villa, as is the Çukurbağ Peninsula in Kaş. You will also find infinity pools on the hillsides of Yalıkavak, Gündoğan and Türkbükü in Bodrum, and in view villas around Göcek and Ölüdeniz near Fethiye.
