Villas within Walking Distance of Restaurants and Bars
Lazy days by the pool, then a short stroll to dinner – and nobody has to be the designated driver. Owners of these villas say there are restaurants within walking distance.
Why it matters
Walking distance to restaurants and bars is one of the things guests ask about most. It means you can wander out for grilled fish, meze or a cocktail with a view, enjoy a glass of wine with everyone, and walk home without anyone needing to drive or hunt for a parking space. This feature is declared by the owner, and the number and style of places nearby vary a lot from one location to another.
Where you will find it
- Kalkan and Kaş: rooftop restaurants, meyhanes and cafés cluster around the harbour and old town.
- Göcek: a string of restaurants and cafés along the marina, all easy on foot.
- Fethiye area: Hisarönü and Ovacık have busy restaurant streets within reach of nearby villas.
- Bodrum: Yalıkavak, Gümüşlük and Gümbet offer plenty of waterfront dining.
- Kemer and Belek: villas near the centre can walk to a good choice of places.
Questions for the owner
- How long is the walk to the nearest restaurants, and is it uphill?
- Is the route lit at night, with a pavement?
- Will the restaurants be open on your dates? Some close out of season.
- Can you hear music from nearby bars late in the evening?
- Which local places does the owner recommend?
Season and booking
Most restaurants open from May to October; in the winter months choice can be limited in smaller resorts. In July and August it is worth booking popular tables ahead. Villora does not take bookings – contact the villa owner directly by WhatsApp, phone or email. Check the VillaNo and Tourism Permit number on the listing and get the terms confirmed in writing before paying.
