Villas Surrounded by Nature in Türkiye
Wake up to birdsong instead of traffic: these villas look out over forests, mountains and valleys rather than busy resorts. Contact the owner directly for prices and availability.
Green hills just behind the coast
Türkiye’s Mediterranean and Aegean coasts are about far more than beaches. A few kilometres inland you find pine forests, olive groves, mountain villages and cool highland plateaus. Villas on this page are filtered for nature views, ideal if you value greenery and silence over a seafront location.
Where to stay
- Islamlar: a village above Kalkan on the slopes of the Taurus Mountains, known for cool evenings, trout restaurants and sweeping valley views.
- Üzümlü: a quiet village inland from Fethiye, famous for its vineyards and weaving tradition, close to Saklıkent Gorge and ancient Tlos.
- Kayaköy: a valley known for its abandoned stone village, with hiking trails and Lycian Way sections right on the doorstep.
- The hinterland of the Çukurbağ Peninsula and villages around Kaş: among olive trees, close to both sea and mountains.
- Inland Göcek and Bodrum: pine-covered hills away from the crowds.
Practical tips for a nature stay
- Transport: village roads can be narrow and winding, and a hire car is usually essential. Ask the owner about road conditions and the distance to the nearest shop.
- Season: inland areas are cooler than the coast in summer, while spring and autumn are perfect for walking. Nights can be chilly in winter, so ask about heating.
- Infrastructure: check internet speed, water supply and whether power cuts are common.
- Living with nature: follow the owner’s advice on insects and wildlife, and respect barbecue rules, as forest fire risk is high in summer.
